Joseph P. Janik, M.D., FAAD, FACMS
Joseph P. Janik, M.D. comes to our practice from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he completed his Mohs Micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship. He began his scholastic career in the University of Michigan’s honor program, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and graduated with honors while receiving his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Janik completed his internship at the Tucson Medical Center, and his Dermatology Residency at the University of New Mexico. He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, Board-Certified Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon (MDS), Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and Fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon & Procedural Dermatologist.
In October of 2021, Dr. Janik successfully passed the inaugural Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS) Subspecialty Certification Examination administered by the American Board of Dermatology, a Founding Member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, giving him the additional distinction of being among the first to achieve board certification in the MDS subspecialty.
